To Install Latest update, open Cydia, reload packages, and "Update Essential"!!

If there is a specific iPhone / iPod Touch tutorial you'd like to see,
comment on MY CHANNEL

I do have 2 iPhones and an iPod, but my newer iPhone broke :(

Also I can't do any iPad reviews because I don't have one at the moment. When I get one, I'll do those :)

Cydia 1.1.1 Features
/////////////////////////////////

Cydia (developed by Jay Freeman) has been updated!! This latest release is a "big" step forward...

Released on March 26, 2011 Jay Freeman released Cydia 1.1.1

New features included:

1.) Faster load times

2.) Ability to use Activator while Cydia runs

3.) Lower memory usage

4.) "Resume where you left off" feature (Multitasking)

5.) Enhanced Search page, with new algorithm

6.) Updated sources, with better removal of errors

7.) Some other minor things

/////////////////////////////////
Cydia 1.1.1 Review & Walkthrough
/////////////////////////////////

1.) The load times (I think) are not that noticeably different :/

"Reloading Data" still feels like I'm watching paint dry,
The time to load changes takes a while if you have a few updates,
"Reloading" and "Loading Data" after installation feels no faster

This could just be because I have a slightly older device,
newer ones with more ram might be faster

Rating: 5/10

2.) You can now use Activator (like SBSettings) while Cydia runs!

If you need to respring/reboot and you dont have the option,
you can now do it straight from cydia!
If you need to adjust brightness/wifi/airplane/etc.,
you don't have to lock it and then use SBSettings!

You can finally do things without leaving! Nice!

Rating: 10/10, about time

3.) Cydia does feel a bit more lightweight!

Before I was always cautious about using Cydia,
as it always felt like I was running a Ford Pinto

Definitely feels lighter, and I've yet to have it crash on me!

Rating: 9/10

4.) "Resume where left off" isn't that good...

Personally, I have no want to leave Cydia while apps are installing.

What I want is to be able to keep viewing CYDIA while apps
are installing... Rock was able to do this, and although
it wasn't safe, I still miss it.

It does seem to work as it's told though

Rating: 7/10

5.) Enhanced Search Page SUCKS!

The initial search is fast, but it doesn't show the source
or description, and it only shows a couple.

Sure its more "relevant", but after clicking on a package from
the first search and then going back to choose another
or search again, it has to load! FOREVER! Like it's
"Reloading Data"!!

If it's a popular search, like something with a theme,
like "SBSettings", you might as well exit out, close Cydia
from Multitasking, ReSpring, re-open Cydia, search again,
then choose the package you want.
(Not really, but you understand ;) )

Rating: 1/10

6.) Sources page has been updated, and allows for easier removal of errors

By this I mean if someone types a source in wrong,
or the source is no longer online, you don't have to download
scripts, or dig around in iFile to fix! You can just delete it
from the Sources page and it fixes it! Sweet!

Rating: 8/10

7.) Some graphical updates, nothing amazing.

Shows whats downloading, also highlights more important stuff.
Woo-hoo..

Rating: 5/10

/////////////////////////////////
!!OVERALL RATING!!

Drum roll......

Because it's Cydia, and allows us to do what it does,
naturally it's a 100/100.

BUT, from a perspective of update wise,
I give it a 70/100.

It is still missing a TON of things!!
When Cydia acquired Rock, what happened to the ratings,
ACTUAL speed, and minimizing downloads that was promised?!?

I for one, am disappointed. This is "completely rebuilt" and
might as well not used the orignal Cydia...

SO WHY DOES IT FEEL THE SAME?!?!

My top 7 ESSENTIAL Sources!!
/////////////////////////////////

1.) http://cydia.xsellize.com/
-- A VERY good repo to have, has most Cydia apps and a few that aren't in Cydia! --

2.) http://apt.macosmovil.com/
-- My FAVORITE source, it's number two because it's mostly in Spanish. Updates out as soon the original Cydia app comes out --

3.) http://repo.insanelyi.com/
-- Contains A TON of apps, (probably too many XD, contains a lot of themes). It's my number three because it takes too long to reload --

4.) http://irepo.us/
-- From the maintainers of UnlimVideos, VERY convenient source. Small, stripped source with essential mods and tweaks --

5.) http://cydia.hackulo.us/
-- The infamous Hackulo.us, only used for Installous (4) and some app cracking software --

6.) http://boococky.hostei.com/cydia/
-- ADVANCED USERS ONLY, contains nothing but shell scripts for development and other "uses" --

7.) http://cydia.theworm.tw/
-- Like boococky, ADVANCED USERS ONLY. Contains some shell scripts that you should NOT mess with if you're a newby iPhoner/Developer --

There are only 7 because you need no more! Anything you could possibly want is somewhere in these!
